The Walking Dead (Season 8)
The eighth season of The Walking Dead is an American post-apocalyptic horror television series, and it is scheduled to be premiered on October 22, 2017, and consist of 16 episodes. The season adapts the All Out War story arc from the comics, with the survivors of Alexandria, the Hilltop, and the Kingdom taking on Negan and the Saviors. It was reported that Maria Bello would have a role on the show.
The Walking Dead returns for Season 8 on Oct. 22 with “Mercy,” the show’s hundredth episode. This season of AMC’s postapocalyptic thriller series will follow the comics’ “All Out War” storyline, where the Alexandrians and their allies rise against the totalitarian Saviors.
The Season 8 trailer closes with a scene of Rick Grimes, clearly older, with a big gray beard and a cane. Fans of the comics recognized this as the time jump that comes after the end of the war with Negan that will be tracked on the show this season.
He Alexandrian leader can be heard screaming: “Listen, all of you have a chance to survive but those who use and take and kill, we end them. Likewise, King Ezekiel (Khary Payton) also promises to stand by Rick’s army, joining him in telling his troops: “This journey will not end in retreat.”
